Welcome, members and friends. We have provided this website as a part of the life & ministry of Canton Church of God of Prophecy. Our prayer is it will be a useful too for us to get to know each other better and to reach as many people possible with the precious message of Jesus Christ. Canton church is the second oldest Church of God of Prophecy in North Carolina. There is so much history here. Our church family is made up of many loving and caring members who are faithful and loyal to the work of Christ.
Our goal is to bring God's word to the community.
Inspired by our calling, we aim:
- to increase community awareness and spread the word
- to help people to grow and learn through mutual support and care
- to be a good neighbor to people in need and to challenge injustice
- to encourage more followers
- to love others in the way Christ loves us.

Pastor Rick and wife Martha joined the Canton church family, January 13, 2008. They transferred here after pastoring the Church of God of Prophecy in Mt. Airy, NC for ten years. Pastor Rick started as an evangelist in 1990. He answered God's call to pastor in 1996 and received his Bishop's license in 2002. He and his wife have been married since 1973. They have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. The move to Canton has been a wonderful experience for them and they are very excited anticipating the great things God has in store for this church and it's people.
